Wait in Quiet Surrender...

When your dreams are shattered and it seems as though God has disappeared, do not be dismayed or fearful, precious one. Realize God has not left or vanished from your sight. What we see is truly an illusion, the real work of our souls is done in the invisible world, where human eye cannot fathom. It may seem difficult to believe, but it's true.

Let this broken and shattered dream create a space for only God to fill. He longs to enjoy your company, your tears, your pain. This season of suffering is an opportunity for God to do His most intimate and personal work in your life - let it happen. Do not resist.

As you embrace this dark night of the soul, be content to be quiet and wait.
Do NOT fill the emptiness with the busyness of doing too much, exercising too much, eating too much, doing to much in the way of good deeds. It's O.K. to be mad at God right now, even fearful of what comes next.

Wait in quiet surrender, in this dark night. God is working something beautiful from these ashes.
